context

YNCN’s main goal is to help students with their professional careers and give them access to resources to discover cool industries, optimize their resume and connect to companies. the club’s flagship events are the career fairs that happen once a semester.

the club had a professional and clean brand, so i wanted to make sure that, even though we made creative illustrations, all the content released stayed true to the brand. this included sticking to the colour palette, keeping text legible and making the graphics are professional.

some illustrations i've drawn

i mainly used procreate and photoshop. the year i joined my director wanted to give us more creative freedom, which carried into my second year as an associate and which i also carried into the year i was director.

some layouts i've assembled

i did a bit of drawing for these next ones, but i mainly focused on putting together the graphics rather than doing the illustrating. most were done on canva.

some projects i've overseen

i had the exciting opportunity to make merch for our club! previously, the club would buy sweaters with a little logo on it, but since i had a team of strong illustrators, i wanted to take the opportunity to make merch that was more meaningful

some themes i've directed

i didn't make any of the following illustrations, but they were made under my direction, and i'm really proud of them :) none of my associates knew how to use procreate or photoshop, so the fact that they made such pretty illustrations after i gave them a quick workshop is so amazing to me!

i led the theme direction for each career fair, coordinated with other teams for information we needed for event promotion and created a comprehensive list of all the digital and physical material we needed to create and probably a bunch of other things that i forgot about tbh oops.
